The Thunder plays at Memphis on Tuesday night, and at the risk of joining the over-the-top crowd, let's go ahead and call it a big game.
Here's why. The Thunder, 12-8, has been disappointing not so much in its record, but in its play. The Thunder just hasn't been the crisp, dominant team we came to expect in the pre-Egyptian plagues era (last season). That's OK. This is a work-in-progress team. If this malaise continues into February, we can all panic together. Until then, let's agree to relax.
But forget style. Forget aesthetics. Let's focus, for one night, on result.
