On to the conference semifinals of our Thunder coaching search bracket. We started out with 16 candidates. But the conference semifinals get us down to four candidates, and the matchups are really interesting from here on out.

Tom Thibodeau vs. Alvin Gentry: Gentry is a solid coach who would do well. But is he a difference-maker? It might be a tough sell on players and fans to replace Scotty Brooks with Gentry. Thibodeau is not a tough sell. He's clearly one of the NBA's elite coaches. He is a difference-maker with his defense.
