The Thunder-Cavalier game was a mess for OKC on Sunday. Too many early-shot clock 3-pointers, too many missed shots in the paint, not enough defense on Kyrie Irving (not that any team is capable of slowing Kyrie), not enough macho ball from Steven Adams against Tristan Thompson.
But the biggest worry going into the game – how would the Thunder bench survive without Enes Kanter – actually was not a huge factor in the Thunder’s 107-91 loss in Cleveland.
Without Kanter, the Thunder seemed to have little hope for success when Russell Westbrook (and Adams) took a rest.
