SAN ANTONIO – Sometimes in the NBA, especially against the highest caliber of teams, the smallest of mistakes are punished mercilessly. It’s impossible to be perfect in a 48 minute NBA game, but as the Thunder experienced in a 93-85 loss to the San Antonio Spurs, the closer you get to that lofty goal, the better chance there is to win.
Leading by six early in the fourth quarter, Head Coach Billy Donovan’s club had done nearly all the right things all night long, even if shots weren’t falling. The three-point line wasn’t anyone’s friend on the night, with the Thunder going 2-for-18 from behind the stripe and the Spurs shooting just 4-for-24.
