SAN ANTONIO – The Thunder had battled, scratched and clawed. The Thunder had made diving plays on the floor, won jump balls and drawn charges. But when the San Antonio Spurs picked themselves up off the mat in the third quarter, the Thunder got knocked out for good.
Head Coach Billy Donovan’s team concluded a two game road trip with a 108-94 loss to the Spurs on Tuesday night, in large part due to the 23-7 San Antonio run in the fourth quarter that served as the game-ending haymaker.
The body blows came earlier in the night, however, when the Spurs scored eight of its first 18 points on second chances.
