NEW ORLEANS – From the very outset of Thursday night’s contest with the New Orleans Pelicans, the Thunder allowed too many easy scoring opportunities. As the game wore on, Head Coach Billy Donovan’s team had to atone for those sins, and despite a furious comeback attempt, it all resulted in a 123-119 road loss.
On a mid-range jumper, a layup, two free throws and a three-pointer, the Thunder allowed Pelicans point guard Norris Cole to rip off nine straight points for his team in the first 3:12 seconds of the game, and that was before Anthony Davis went to work for 16 first quarter points.
