DALLAS – Thunder basketball is back in the U.S.A. and Russell Westbrook and company made sure it wasn’t a quiet re-introduction for the fans.
With an absurd behind the back driving layup in transition and then a monstrous one-handed baseline dunk in the first half, Westbrook put exclamation points on the Thunder’s first state-side exhibition tilt on Tuesday night. After competing twice in Spain last week, the Thunder fell 114-109 to the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night, but more important than the final result was the continued development of the roster not only in terms of skill and execution, but also familiarity with one another on the court.
