NEW YORK – Thunder guard Alex Abrines is active for the Thunder’s game at New York Monday afternoon, after missing 13 straight games for what the team identified as illness and then personal reasons.
He will not be in the rotation, according to Thunder coach Billy Donovan, but he will suit up and sit on the bench.
"My guess is these next two games, today and tomorrow (at home against Portland), he will be active but will not be in the rotation," Donovan said before Monday's game. "Wednesday's a day we can try to work with him and help him continue to move in a direction where he can get back to helping our team.
