OKLAHOMA CITY, Feb. 23, 2017 – The Oklahoma City Thunder has acquired forwards Taj Gibson and Doug McDermott as well as an unprotected 2018 second round draft pick from the Chicago Bulls in exchange for forward Joffrey Lauvergne and guards Anthony Morrow and Cameron Payne, Thunder Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti announced today.
Gibson (6-9, 245) has appeared in 55 games (all starts) this season, averaging 11.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 27.3 minutes per contest. The University of Southern California product has spent his entire seven-year career with Chicago, owning career averages of 9.
