Thunder 3-point shooting slump comes to light in shock loss

Turnovers hurt the Thunder the most in a 99-96 loss against Minnesota on Friday, but lost in the sloppy ballhandling and lost possessions were the struggles from 3-point range.

The Thunder was outshot from behind the arc by the third-worst 3-point shooting team in the NBA. Minnesota only made 33 percent of its 3-pointers on Friday, but at least hit its season average.

The Thunder hit just 6-of-27 (22 percent), including three key misses in a row from 3 during a 7-0 run for Minnesota in the fourth quarter. The Thunder led 87-79 before the misses on three consecutive possessions from Russell Westbrook, Kyle Singler and Kevin Durant.
