Last night the Oklahoma City Thunder honored the family of Tulsa native Terence Crutcher, who was fatally shot by Tulsa police officer Betty Shelby on September 16, 2016. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are still unclear, but video from an on-scene police helicopter shows Crutcher being shot while apparently having his hands in the air. As with any criminal investigation, the innocent will remain innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. This is not an article to assign guilt or to take sides. I can only imagine how stressful it must be to be a police officer in this day and age.
