Surprise! Kevin Durant Named West’s Player of the Week

The NBA has named Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant the Western Conference Player of the Week for games played from Jan. 25 – 31.

Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade won the award in the Eastern Conference.

Durant led the Thunder to three victories this past week, averaging a league-best 34.7 points, 4.3 assists, 11.7 rebounds per game. Oklahoma City won games against New York, Minnesota and Houston.

  • Jan. 26 @ New York: Poured in 44 points and added 14 rebounds and five assists during a 128-122 overtime win against the Knicks.
