According to numerous reports, Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams will not join the New Zealand men’s national basketball team this summer.
As per ESPN.com, Adams’ management company stated that Adams would not be joining the team’s summer activities due to “scheduling conflicts.” New Zealand’s Oceania Olympic team will be participating in a qualifying series against Australia in August, the winner of which will earn a berth in the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.
The report added that “Steven’s focus (is) on being ready for the start of the 2015-2016 regular season”.
