Steven Adams' 3-pointer against the Mavericks was a big deal for a preseason opener.
Within 22 minutes of a ESPN sending out a text alert Tuesday night of Philadelphia All-Star guard Ben Simmons hitting his first career 3-pointer, Adams received the text alert treatment, too. Upon hearing Simmons – also not a traditional shooter – made his first 3-pointer, Adams was happy for his NBA compatriot.
At Thunder practice Wednesday, Adams' shot was still a talking point. The 7-footer said he received messages from "everyone" about it in the past 24 hours.
"Old family members, everyone came out of the bush, mate," Adams said.
