It was vintage Steven Adams, and not just when the play was going on.
In Monday’s 122-116 win against the Pelicans, the Thunder was on one end shooting free throws. Adams was on the other, basically inside the shirt of Anthony Davis.
Adams slowly reached out to touch Davis, who’d bat his hand away. Adams kept doing it. Davis kept batting it away. Then Adams would lean on the All-Star, sometimes resting his chin on Davis’ shoulder.
Adams’ pestering presence was big in keeping the All-Star to 20 points on 20 shots Monday.
