Semaj Christon sat in the driver's seat of the Thunder Rolling Book Bus on Thursday handing out bookmarks and bracelets at Orvis Risner Elementary in Edmond, his Thunder future uncertain.
If the second-year Thunder guard isn't waived before a reported date of Oct. 15, his $1.3 million salary for this season is guaranteed. The NBA regular season starts Oct. 17, with the Thunder tipping off Oct. 19 against the Knicks.
Before this summer, Christon was the Thunder's No. 2 point guard. With the addition of free agent Raymond Felton on a veteran's minimum deal, as well as the Thunder trading for Paul George who can also handle the ball, a third point guard may not be necessary.
