Fans looking to attend Oklahoma City Thunder home games will have to adjust to some unexpected additions to the Chesapeake Energy Arena: metal detectors at every entry point.
As per a report from KOCO’s Ariana Garza, the new detectors were installed as part of new league-wide security mandates, a response to the numerous incidents of gun-related violence across the nation.
The detectors will replace the handheld security “wands” that had been previously used by Arena staff.
