Scotty Brooks’ maiden season with the Washington Wizards ended Monday night in the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Wiz lost 115-105 at Boston in Game 7. By any stretch, it was a great year for Foreman Scotty and Washington.
A playoff series victory (over Atlanta, a veteran, hardscrabble franchise). More maturation from franchise cornerstones Bradley Beal and John Wall. A great run after a horrific start.
The series defeat to Boston was disappointing. The Wizards let the Celtics rally for a Game 2 that ultimately cost Washington a shot at LeBron James in the East finals.
But all in all, an excellent season.
