The news of Russell Westbrook’s trade to the Rockets loomed over the Thunder’s 92-87 Summer League win over the Trail Blazers Thursday.
“This is my first time ever being on a team with people being traded,” Thunder forward Deonte Burton told NBA TV’s Allie LaForce after the game, “so I don’t know how to feel.”
While Burton was busy scoring 14 points to go along with Kevin Hervey’s game-high 20, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that OKC had agreed to trade Westbrook to Houston for Chris Paul, two first-round picks (2024 and 2026) and the right to swap two picks (2021 and 2025).
