Russell Westbrook made the right play a possession after making the wrong one. The officials thought otherwise.

Westbrook was tremendous in the Thunder’s 119-116 loss to the Kings on Saturday, logging his third-consecutive 40-point game. There are still those occasional moments that make you pause.

Tied 116-116 with 37.8 seconds left, his 17-foot jump shot from the left wing with 17 seconds on the shot clock wasn’t the best attempt the Thunder could have created on the possession, particularly after clawing back from a 16-point deficit.
