Russell Westbrook, Thunder secure season sweep of Trail Blazers with 129-121 OT win

PORTLAND — Russell Westbrook stood at half court dancing to the silence as Trail Blazers streamed toward the exits. There were still 39 seconds left on the clock, but as Jerami Grant set up at the free-throw line, the Moda Center crowd’s hope for a Portland comeback had faded.

The Thunder finished a regular-season sweep of the Trail Blazers with a 129-121 overtime victory Thursday. Oklahoma City (40-25) moved back into third place in the Western Conference standings, and Portland (39-26) slid to No. 5.

Westbrook and the Portland fans went back and forth all night long.
