Russell Westbrook (left ankle sprain) remains sidelined for the Thunder’s game at Dallas Saturday, but he has been able to shoot and continues to progress, per OKC coach Billy Donovan.
“He’s got to get out there, he’s got to practice, move and cut and do those things,” Donovan said at shootaround Saturday afternoon, “so that’s going to take a little bit of time.”
Westbrook sprained his ankle in the Thunder’s 122-116 win over the Pelicans Monday. OKC played back-to-back games Wednesday in Cleveland and Thursday at home. The resulting lack of practice time, Donovan said, has made it difficult to estimate a timetable for Westbrook’s return.
