The NBA has announced that Russell Westbrook has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week as per a press release issued Monday afternoon. The award is based on games played between Dec. 21 and Dec. 27, during which Westbrook helped lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 3-1 record.
Here’s a recap of Westbrook’s phenomenal week, during which he averaged “28.0 points (second in the West), 8.8 assists (fourth in the conference), 7.3 rebounds and 3.0 steals (tied-first in the conference).”
