Monta Ellis and Amar’e Stoudamire are two names from the NBA’s past who were watched by a number of teams, including the Thunder, in Las Vegas on Monday.
Ellis hasn’t played in the NBA since 2017. Stoudamire has been out of the league even longer, since 2016. But both were a part of workouts in front of a dozen NBA teams, according to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes, among them the Thunder, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State, Milwaukee, Detroit, Washington and the New York Knicks.
Most teams in the NBA do their due diligence on everything from potential players available in trades to free agents who could be signed on minimum contracts.
