Report: Thunder coaching candidate Will Weaver quarantining in Oklahoma City

Will Weaver, an emerging candidate for the Thunder head coaching job, is in quarantine in Oklahoma City, ESPN reported Thursday night.

Weaver, from Austin, Texas, is the head coach of the Sydney Kings in Australia's National Basketball League.

Weaver graduated from Texas, where he landed a graduate assistant position on Rick Barnes' staff in 2006 — Kevin Durant's freshman season. Weaver spent four years on the Longhorn staff before taking an assistant coaching job at Sam Houston State in 2010.

While in Huntsville, Texas, an hour north of Houston, Weaver met Sam Hinkie, then the Rockets' executive vice president of basketball operations.
