The Thunder agreed to trade Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets for Chris Paul, two first-round picks and two pick swaps, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday.
The deal reunites Westbrook with James Harden, who spent the first three seasons of his career with the Thunder. The young pair, along with Kevin Durant, led the Thunder to the 2012 NBA finals. The following October, Thunder general manager Sam Presti traded Harden to the Rockets.
Presti drafted Westbrook No. 4 overall soon before the Seattle SuperSonics relocated to Oklahoma City, and Westbrook spent the first 11 years of his NBA career on the Thunder.
