Thunder guard Terrance Ferguson and forward Darius Bazley are among a small group of NBA players who are assured a vast majority of their 2019-20 salaries.
Marc Stein of the New York Times reported Tuesday that NBA players will not be guaranteed paychecks past Wednesday because of a force majeure clause that can be implemented during emergencies like the coronavirus outbreak.
Because most players receive 24 checks annually, they have been paid less than half of this season's salary. But Stein reported less than 20 players, Ferguson and Bazley among them, have negotiated "all-you-can-get deals.
