The Thunder’s coaching staff continues to get thinner.
Former Thunder assistant Monty Williams, now the head coach in Phoenix, will reportedly hire Thunder assistant Darko Rajakovic, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times. Williams has already tabbed longtime Thunder assistant Mark Bryant to join his coaching staff.
Rajakovic’s departure would mark the third Thunder assistant to leave this offseason, joining Bryant and Bob Beyer. Sacramento hired Beyer this month.
Rajakovic has been with the Thunder organization since 2012, starting as the head coach of the then-Tulsa 66ers of the D-League before becoming a Thunder assistant in 2014, the year before Donovan's arrival in Oklahoma City.
