Report: James Harden's $200 million Adidas bid won't be matched by Nike

Adidas may have struck back with a major coup in the basketball shoe wars.

Adidas offered James Harden a contract worth $200 million over 13 years, and Harden's former endorser - Nike -reportedly won't match, says TMZ. The former Thunder guard's Nike deal has expired, and it's time for the apparel giant to make a decision. From TMZ:

"Nike had concerns about sinking that much dough into just ONE player, when it has several other superstars to sign."

Thing is, Nike already handed over more money to ONE player last summer when Kevin Durant agreed to a reported 10-year deal worth between $265-285 million.
