In its first preseason game, the Thunder was embarrassed defensively. In its second Wednesday against FC Barcelona Lassa at the Palau Sant Jordi, OKC’s defense wasn’t airtight throughout, but showed improvement in a 92-89 win.
Russell Westbrook was again on a strict limit of 21 minutes – playing just the first quarter and a portion of the third. Thunder coach Billy Donovan rode with Ronnie Price and Alex Abrines in his backcourt as opposed to Victor Oladipo late.
It was up to the Thunder’s reserves to close, and they did.
Price came up with a steal, missed a layup, but Abrines followed for and and-1 and finished the 3-point play to tie the game 86-86.
