According to Chad Ford of ESPN.com, there is growing buzz among rival general managers that OKC has made a promise to Murray State point guard Cameron Payne with the 14th overall pick.
It wouldn’t be the first time the Thunder has agreed to an arrangement before the draft. In 2011, there was some chatter that the team promised to select Reggie Jackson with the 24th overall pick. Sure enough, the Thunder selected Reggie Jackson with the 24th overall pick. Last year, the Thunder arranged a deal with Josh Huestis, agreeing to select him 29th overall if he spent the year in the D-League.
