Even though he was back in his home state, Miami Heat rookie guard Josh Richardson didn’t get to sleep in his own bed Saturday night. His home in Edmond was full of family who were in town for a funeral, but also sticking around to see the 22-year-old play against the Thunder.
Richardson was selected by the Heat in the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft, but before that he was an Oklahoman All-State player at Edmond Santa Fe who went on to star at the University of Tennessee. Richardson sat down to speak with The Oklahoman on Sunday:
Q: What does it mean to be able to come back and play in front of your hometown crowd?
