'Peake Conditions: Food forecast for postseason includes wienernadoes

It’s playoff time, Oklahoma City, and just as the Thunder is ramping up for a championship run so is the kitchen crew at Chesapeake Arena.

Joe Guthrie’s Levy Restaurants gang, led by chef Ryan Craig, will feature some special hot dogs and cocktails for the postseason starting with the F-5 Dog.

Because hot dog quality starts with the frank, Team Chesapeake approached Oklahoma City’s most celebrated wiener-makers, Schwab and Co., to customize one.

Craig and company skewer that dog then use a knife to spiral-cut it before dropping it into a fryer. The result is a crisp frank that’s less likely to burst and ends up better suited to wear a generous helping of cheese sauce.
