Paul George's injury gives Billy Donovan the chance to experiment

A team short of wings just lost the best wing in basketball, at least for one night. The Thunder will play the 76ers on Thursday night with no Paul George.

Scant sympathy will come from Philadelphia, since the Sixers will be without all-star center Joel Embiid, who hasn’t played since the All-Star Game due to tendonitis. And the Sixers also will be without backup center Boban Marganovic, who suffered a knee injury earlier this week.

So the Sixers are woefully thin at center, the Thunder on the wing.

In Denver on Tuesday night, the Thunder used only one backup wing, Abdel Nader, and him for less than eight minutes.
