When Paul George saw Victor Oladipo go down Wednesday night, it didn’t take long for him to send out the tweet.
Oladipo was on the floor holding his right knee in a game against the Raptors when the responses started pouring in from NBA players across social media. George, who suffered a season-ending injury while a member of the Pacers in 2014, tweeted “Prayers up VO.”
On Thursday morning, the Pacers announced that Oladipo, 26, suffered a ruptured quad tendon in his right knee and will miss the remainder of the season. George could relate to facing a potentially career-altering injury in his mid-20s.
