Paul George was concerned about Zion Williamson after the Duke phenom suffered a knee injury Wednesday night, so he reached out to a USA Basketball contact to check in.
George called Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski Thursday to ask how Williamson was doing, according to the Thunder.
Williamson left 36 seconds into Duke’s game against North Carolina after blowing out the side of his right shoe and suffering what Krzyzewski called a “mild knee sprain” after the Blue Devils' 88-72 loss Wednesday. Williamson was wearing PG 2.5s.
“My only concern is for Zion, honestly,” George said after Thunder practice Thursday.
