Players and coaches have met both within the walls of the INTEGRIS Thunder Development Center and elsewhere all summer, but the past 48 hours have been the first formal opportunity for the Thunder to get prepared for the 2015-16 season.
Over the first two days of U.S. Cellular Thunder Training Camp, new head coach Billy Donovan has put his team through a crash course on the core of the defensive and offensive systems that he and his staff assembled this offseason. From getting out-of-bounds plays to offensive sets to pick-and-roll coverages in place has taken a lot of mental and physical energy, but it has all been a necessary part of the plan to get the players ready to nail down the finer points over the upcoming weeks.
