On Saturday morning, Enes Kanter of the Oklahoma City Thunder, tweeted that he was being detained in Romania after authorities told him that his passport had been canceled. Kanter was being detained due to his opposition of current Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Since, Kanter has been released and has tweeted that he is now safely in London.
He later tweeted a video that explains the whole situation. His opposition of the Turkish President was keeping him out of the country. While he was not locked up, he was told he could not leave.
