Novak was traded for the fifth time in his career Thursday, just before the dust settled on the NBA tradingdeadline.
When he joins whatever playoff team he is expected to join after agreeing with Denver on a buyout, it will be his ninth team in 10 seasons. He's never been with one team for more than two consecutive seasons. That makes Novak the epitome of an NBA journeyman.
In Oklahoma City, we barely knew him. The Thunder traded for him on Feb. 19, 2015 and traded him on Feb. 18, 2016. Moving is old hat now for Novak.
