Three writers discuss three questions. Today’s subject: Jeremy Lamb.
Where did it go wrong for Jeremy Lamb?
Darnell Mayberry, beat writer: Timing might have been his biggest problem, and that has little to do with Lamb. He arrived four months after the Thunder had just journeyed to the NBA Finals. As a rookie, Lamb stepped onto a championship-caliber team that had a defensive-minded shooting guard (Thabo Sefolosha) entrenched in the starting lineup and a proven scorer (Kevin Martin) who also arrived in the deal and would be the team’s sixth man. Then the Thunder brought back Derek Fisher, and he continued to eat into Lamb’s minutes.
