Joe McCormick was in first grade when Mary Lou Booker told McCormick’s mom that Joe was going to be an artist some day.
“At that age I had a whole life to live,” McCormick said. “I wasn't really expecting it to come true.”
Still just 26 years old, McCormick’s art is displayed on some of Oklahoma’s most prominent athletes. Stairs leading up to the gates of heaven on Trae Young’s left thigh. A portrait of Jesus on the right forearm of Thunder guard Terrance Ferguson. Elaborate drawings on the chest, arm and ankle of OU receiver Jadon Haselwood.
