The point spreads are out for the NBA games scheduled to start in a month, and the particular numbers don’t matter. If you don’t bet, don’t start. If you bet, stop. Betting is for losers.
But betting numbers occasionally can be instructive. And I saw a quote from a betting expert that I found interesting.
Jeff Sherman, described by ESPN as the guy who oversees NBA odds at the SuperBook at Westgate Las Vegas, told ESPN that the biggest adjustment he made in numbers was on the over/under on points scored in games.
"There's a chance for a different energy in the building," Sherman said.
