Nick Young puts up points in bursts, and the Lakers guard had scored six in quick succession in the fourth quarter Sunday night to make what had looked like comfortable Thunder lead something less than that.
Russell Westbrook had to go back to work.
His team leading by four, Westbrook scored nine points and assisted on a bucket in a 13-0 run that effectively closed the door on a 113-96 win against Los Angeles at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
It was a strong finish to another fantastic night for Westbrook. He finished with 33 points, 16 assists and 12 rebounds, joining Magic Johnson (twice), Oscar Robertson (twice) and Jerry Lucas as the only NBA players to record triple doubles twice in their first three games of a season.
