Tonight’s game seemed like a mismatch from the outset. The OKC Thunder are a team caught somewhere between a rebuild and a fringe playoff team, while the Philadelphia 76ers are most definitely championship contenders.
However, the Thunder brought their toughness to the Chesapeake Energy arena tonight and gave Philly all they could handle on their way to a thrilling upset win.
The game started with Philadelphia using their length and athleticism to jump out to a double-digit first quarter lead on the OKC Thunder. Joel Embiid is so skilled for his size, that he made it seem like it could be a blowout early with his strong play.
