The sound of African drums echoed through the halls of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum on Saturday night — a night of celebration hosted by Thunder forward Serge Ibaka.
These Ibaka-hosted nights are getting bigger by the year. In its fourth year, Ibaka's 2016 dinner gala drew more than 700 people, as Ibaka and Sister Rosemary Nyirumbe greeted the group with wide smiles, live music and a commitment to serve through their respective foundations.
“I couldn't sleep,” a smiling Ibaka said. “It took a lot of work. I've been doing a lot of good things the last five or six years, and I was patient.
