When the OKC Thunder dealt the disgruntled Carmelo Anthony to the Hawks in a three-team trade Dennis Schröder was the center-piece Oklahoma City got in return. However, OKC got another player in the deal, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot.
During preseason play Schröder played better than expected, (keep in mind starting point guard Russell Westbrook was absent for all four contests) and TLC did not to live up to his hype.
Yet, preseason is exactly what it sounds like, an exhibition game. It would be unfair to judge TLC solely on his preseason performance.
