The only other head coach in Thunder history says the organization made a “terrible decision” in firing Scott Brooks.
Former Thunder coach P.J. Carlesimo, who’s now an NBA analyst for ESPN, said Wednesday on the network that the Thunder “made it impossible for Scott Brooks to coach.”
Brooks was fired Wednesday after seven seasons as head coach in Oklahoma City. In his exit interview last week, Brooks – who had a year remaining on his contract with the Thunder but no extension in place beyond 2015-16 – said that he expected to be the coach of the team headed into next season.
