The OKC Thunder – Patrick Patterson partnership didn’t go as planned last season. Not only was he recovering from a knee procedure upon his arrival to the mid-west but the Thunder also traded for Carmelo Anthony.
We all know how that ended.
Presumably promised a starting role after accepting a bargain three year, $16.4 million-dollar deal, Patterson experienced career lows in minutes (15.5), points per game (3.9), field goal percentage (39.8) and rebounds (2.4). All season long the veteran was a step slow, often seen stuck in mud on defense and struggling to create separation to shoot on offense.
