Roman philosopher Gaius Plinius Secundus, more commonly known as Pliny the Elder, was the original intellectual to popularize the quote “home is where the heart is”. Nearly two thousand years later, that mantra is more alive than ever in our very own Oklahoma City Thunder.
OKC currently stands at the fork of a late-season crossroads. The Thunder can stumble their way into the playoffs only to once again experience an uninspired first round exit, or they can grab the bison by the horns and wreak havoc on their way to the Western Conference finals. Rumble may not like the idea of bison grappling, but even he would agree the Thunder need to rediscover their identity if Oklahoma City hopes to have a chance at hoisting the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.
