Kyle Singler was nervous.
Of the numerous community events he's been a part of in 1½ seasons in Oklahoma City, it was Singler's first time on the Rolling Thunder Book Bus. On Monday, the 6-foot-9 small forward kicked off a season of community engagement with an appearance at The Baptist Temple Church in Northwest Oklahoma City.
It won't be as easy as helping kids pick books, but when the Thunder opens training camp on Sept. 24, Singler will be working to reestablish his comfort and confidence following the worst season of his professional career.
When asked what he's looking for, what he'd be pleased with in 2016-17, Singler simply said, “improvement.
